A Non destructive testing and Engineering Firm
TendonScan™ introduces a comprehensive external post-tension tendon inspection and monitoring system.
TendonScan™ is a post-tension tendon inspection system that utilizes leading edge non-
destructive testing technology to perform Tendon Condition Assessments.
TendonScan™locates voids, bleeding grout, broken wires as well as monitors the propagation of corrosion.
The end results from a TendonScan™ inspection provides valuable decision making condition assessment information as to when to repair, replace or monitor for future repair or replacement of post-tension tendons.
TendonScan™ is an five step inspection process:
1. Locate voids and bleeding grout.
2. Locate broken wires and corrosion.
3. Measure degree of corrosion (section loss) to determine if monitoring
is necessary.
4. Monitor suspect tendons for broken wires to determine when they
need replacement.
5. Provide detailed inspection assessment report.
The results from TendonScan™ provides the information needed to manage future maintenance
and or replacement of a tendon. Monitor corrosion propagation, know when inactive corrosion
turns active and when corrosion is sever enough to result in broken wires or tendon failure. Ten-
donScan™ is composed of the following non-destructive testing methods and equipment:
Modified Main Magnetic Flux
Electrical Capacitance
Acoustic Emissions
Tomography
No Lane Closures, boom trucks
or disruption of traffic required.
Know when to repair or replace a tendon and manage tendon maintenance over future inspection cycles!
IPC is a non destructive testing company that uses proprietary and patented to assess the state of existing infrastructures. IPC produces condition assessment reports that enable engineering firms and governments repair assets in a timely more cost effective manner.
